About Ann Whitaker

COLOUR & IMAGE CONSULTANT

I work with women who are ready to feel at ease with how they present themselves.

Not because they want to follow trends, reinvent who they are, or fix anything, but because they want clarity. They want to understand what actually works for them and why, so getting dressed feels simpler, more intentional, and aligned with who they are now.

My approach to colour and personal style is calm, thoughtful, and grounded. I do not believe in rigid rules or fashion formulas that ignore individuality. I believe in guidance that helps you see yourself more clearly and make confident decisions from that place.

How I Work

I mainly work one-on-one, in a considered and unhurried way.

Rather than focusing on individual pieces or quick fixes, I look at the whole picture. Colour, image, proportions, lifestyle, and how your wardrobe functions in real life all matter. When these elements work together, style stops feeling effortful and starts feeling natural.

My role is not to tell you what to wear forever.

It is to help you understand how to choose what you wear so that it feels uniquely you.

Confidence comes from knowledge, not dependence.

Why I Do This Work

I know firsthand how life-changing it can be to understand the power of colour and personal style.

My journey began in 2001 when I experienced my own colour analysis through the UK-based House of Colour. At the time, I was making expensive shopping mistakes, buying clothes that did not suit me, and feeling consistently dissatisfied with how I looked.

That colour & style experience changed everything.

For the first time, I understood why certain colours and styles worked for me and others did not. I stopped wasting money on clothes I never wore. I stopped chasing trends and started dressing in a way that felt aligned, confident, and genuinely like me.

In 2007, I trained and began working professionally in colour and image so I could offer the same depth of understanding to others. Since then, I have worked with clients worldwide, supporting women to feel more confident, cohesive, and comfortable in how they present themselves.

Experience Matters

Having worked in this field for many years, I have seen the industry change. What was once a considered, skill-based practice has become increasingly cluttered. There is a great deal of noise, opinion, and inexperience being presented as expertise.

My work comes from depth, not trends. Personal style should be grounding, not overwhelming. It should support who you are and how you live, not ask you to constantly keep up or second-guess yourself.

Experience matters in this work, particularly in a market that has become increasingly crowded.

What Clients Often Come To Me For

Many of the women I work with are already capable, thoughtful, and accomplished. What they are missing is not taste or effort, but clarity.

They often want to:

stop second-guessing themselves

feel more cohesive and put together

understand which colours and styles genuinely support them

move away from trends that do not feel right

trust their own judgement again

Ultimately, they want to feel confident making decisions for themselves. My work supports that shift in a practical, grounded way.

My Philosophy

I do not have preferred brands or stores. I am not here to sell you more.

Everything I do is about helping you recognise what works for you, so you can make decisions with confidence long after our work together is complete.

Style, at its best, should feel supportive.

It should make life easier, not more complicated.

A Little More About Me

I was born in the UK, have lived in 6 countries and now live in Brisbane, Australia.

I am in my mid-fifties, married, and a proud mum, our family also includes a much-loved Jack Russell.

Outside of my work, I enjoy shopping, socialising, travel and personal development. I am naturally curious and enjoy being around people, ideas, and environments that feel energising and inspiring.

At this stage of life, I value discernment, perspective, and enjoyment. Those qualities shape both how I live and how I work with clients.
