I trained as a Colour & Image Consultant in 2007 in the UK, since then I have worked with 1000s of women worldwide and I offer colour analysis and personal styling for women in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast as well as internationally via virtual consultation
I know that when a woman finally understands what genuinely works for her, something shifts. Not just in how she looks, but in how she feels about herself. That shift is what this work is about.
I am not a stylist who is obsessed with trends, or telling you what you can and can't wear. My work is about giving you the tools and understanding to make confident decisions for yourself for the rest of your life.
In 19 years, I have worked with women navigating every kind of transition. Career changes, menopause, retirement, divorce, stepping into greater visibility in business, or simply arriving at a point where they are ready to invest in themselves after years of putting everything else first.
What I have found, consistently, is that most women are not struggling because they lack style. They are struggling because they have never had someone take the time to show them what genuinely works for them and explain why.
That is what I do.
My studio in Kenmore, Brisbane, is a calm, considered space, a place to step away from the daily noise of life and focus entirely on you. I do not have preferred brands or stores, I will not pressure you to buy anything. My only goal is to give you knowledge and clarity.

COLOUR ANALYSIS CONSULTATIONS
Colour consultations are held in natural daylight at my Kenmore studio. Each session is highly personalised, unhurried, and designed to give you genuine clarity around what works for you and why. You will leave with the knowledge and confidence to use that understanding every time you open your wardrobe or walk into a shop.
Options include:
Group sessions are ideal for friends, colleagues, or small teams who want a shared experience while still receiving considered, professional guidance.
Both options provide clarity around colour for clothing, makeup, hair, glasses, nails and accessories and how colour supports your natural presence.
I work mainly one-on-one or with small groups to ensure each client receives the time, attention, and care they deserve.
My work is calm, considered, and uniquely personal. It is not rushed, trend-led, or transactional.
I do not have preferred clothing brands or stores. The process is about discovering what works for you and advising from that place.
Style should feel supportive.
It should make life easier, not more complicated.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Where are you located and what hours do you work ?
My Individual and Group Colour Classes are run out of my Studio in Kenmore, Brisbane, the reason for this is that Colour can only be done in a room with great light. Colours cannot be correctly analysed in low light or electric light (even using daylight bulbs) so a room with great light is essential. The Studio is purposely set out with all my tools , makeup and colour examples to hand but most importantly a class with me is a chance to step out from your day-to-day life, for you to give yourself permission to focus on you and when it is run around your natural environment that element is lost.
I work occasional weekends and some public holidays, I realise many of my clients do work full-time, so I do have some availability, but it tends to book up fast, so maybe think of taking a day’s leave if possible and make it into a proper treat for yourself. All my availability can be seen on my booking calendar.

Image Classes can be done remotely, however again this is time for you to enjoy and time some time out for yourself, so the Studio is always my preferred location.
Bra Fitting and Skincare Consults can be done remotely, and I am happy to travel to you, provided it is within the Brisbane area.
What do I need to bring/wear for a Colour Consultation?
Please arrive for your consultation without make up on, without fake tan on, without glasses (clear contacts are fine) and please avoid high neck tops and strong perfumes. If you do need to wear makeup before the class please keep it as neutral as possible and avoid strong lipsticks and eyeliner. If you do wear glasses we can work around these, but it would be preferable to wear clear contacts if possible. You can also bring your current foundation colour so we can see if it is working for your skintone.
What payment methods do you have?
I accept debit and credit cards and Paypal. Payments with debit cards, credit cards and Paypal can be made directly from my booking site.
Will I have to throw my whole wardrobe out?
No, absolutely not that is never the intention of this (unless of course you want to). We discuss how to start to incorporate your new colours into your existing wardrobe so you transition to a more colourful you, you will be buying new clothes in the course of the year, now you just buy more strategically and in the right shades and styles. Often my ladies find they already own some of their colours, sometimes they are even already predominately getting it right.
Do you offer Gift Vouchers?
Yes, I do, I have physical and electronic gift vouchers so I can even do last minute presents. Please contact me on [email protected] or call me on 0424 656 097 to arrange your gift voucher.
Is an AI Colour Analysis accurate?
AI colour analysis is not accurate and cannot replace professional in-person colour analysis. Online quizzes and AI-based colour tools are unable to assess how colours physically interact with your unique skin tone, undertone, and natural colouring in real light. Accurate colour analysis requires a trained consultant, physical colour drapes, and controlled natural lighting conditions. If you have tried an online tool and felt uncertain about your result, that uncertainty is well founded. For a result you can trust, an in-person professional consultation is the only reliable option. Colour Analysis is experiential, you actually see and experience the difference the right colour tones make to your skin, this experience is what makes the most difference.
What product ranges do you work with?
I currently work with the Nu Skin beauty devices, skincare ,and makeup range, House of Colour (a UK based makeup range) Kettlewell and Intimo lingerie, however as I discover new products that I love and I can see my clients loving I do incorporate these into my offerings.
How long does it take for a Colour Analysis ?
A professional colour analysis consultation at Ann Whitaker Style, Brisbane typically takes between 2.5 and 3 hours and approximately 1 ½ hrs extra for each additional person. This allows time for the full colour draping process, a thorough discussion of your results, and answers to all your questions. All my clients receive a comprehensive, unhurried experience designed to give you clarity you can use for life.
Is getting a colour analysis worth it?
For most women, colour analysis is one of the most practical and confidence-building investments they make. Knowing your colours removes the guesswork from shopping, helps you stop wasting money on clothes that never feel quite right, and makes it easier to build a wardrobe that works together consistently. Clients of Ann Whitaker Style regularly describe their colour consultation as a turning point in how they dress, shop, and feel about getting dressed each morning.
What happens if I am unable to make my consultation?
If you are unable to make your consultation due to illness or an unforeseen circumstance, or weather event, please contact me and we will arrange to reschedule it to another suitable date.
