Your Style Challenge

September 09, 20263 min read

“I’m so bored with everything I own…”

Is this you?

You open your wardrobe and feel like you’ve worn everything a hundred times. Nothing feels exciting anymore, and you’re tempted to go shopping for something new.

But before you do, try changing just one thing.

Look at Your Wardrobe With Fresh Eyes

Play and experiment with your current wardrobe. Try options you wouldn't normally put together.

Add a colourful scarf. Swap your usual handbag. Put on a statement necklace. Layer a jacket over an outfit you’d normally wear on its own. Add a pop of unexpected colour.

Sometimes, the smallest change can make an outfit feel completely different.

You don’t necessarily need a whole new wardrobe to refresh your style.

Sometimes, you just need to look at the clothes you already own with fresh eyes.

Small Changes Can Transform an Outfit

I always tell my clients that style should be about experimenting, discovering what works, and having fun with what you wear.

It’s easy to fall into the habit of wearing the same combinations simply because they’re familiar. You know they work, you feel comfortable in them, and you don’t have to think too much about what to wear.

But that doesn’t mean your wardrobe has nothing more to offer.

Sometimes, a simple change of accessory, colour or layering can completely transform an outfit you thought you were tired of.

And this is exactly how I suggest you start after a colour consultation.

Start With What You Already Own

Once you know your colours, you don’t have to rush out and replace everything in your wardrobe. Start with what you already have and gradually introduce your new palette through accessories.

For example, if you’re a Spring, you might add a scarf, handbag, or jewellery in one of your beautiful Spring shades.

Side-by-side comparison of a "Neutral Base (Winter)" wardrobe layout featuring a dark blazer, white blouse, and dark trousers, and an "Instant Transformation" layout showing how colorful accessories like a bright scarf, green belt, and turquoise necklace shift the look into a Spring palette.

Or keep it even simpler. Choose a blouse or shirt in a colour that makes you glow, then wear it with the bottoms and jackets you already love.

You don’t have to change everything at once.

Little changes can create a surprisingly big transformation.

Your Style Challenge This Week

Choose one outfit you normally wear and style it in a way you usually wouldn’t.

  • Try a different accessory.

  • Add a pop of colour.

  • Layer something over it.

  • Change the shoes.

  • Mix two pieces you wouldn’t normally wear together.

  • Just experiment!

  • Then take a moment to notice how you feel.

You might be surprised by how different an outfit can feel without buying anything new.

Your Wardrobe Might Not Need a Complete Overhaul

Before you decide that you need a whole new wardrobe, take another look at what you already own.

There may be combinations you haven’t tried yet, colours you’ve overlooked, or accessories that could completely change the way an outfit feels.

And once you understand the colours that flatter you, it becomes even easier to see the potential in your existing wardrobe.

If you’d love to discover the colours that can give your existing wardrobe a whole new direction, book your colour consultation with me.

Your wardrobe might not need a complete overhaul.

It might just need a little more you.
